"Different materials, such as cotton and polyester, have very different ultra-violet radiation (UVR) absorbing properties," Peter said. "Fabrics with open weaves allow more UVR penetration than tightly woven or knitted fabrics. Heavier weight fabrics usually block more UVR than lighter weight fabrics, therefore, the selection of an effective curtain lining involves all these factors. Our curtain linings are particular effective, helping to minimise the fading of carpets and furniture.
