Ballina's beautiful mystique
La Mystique owner Tiffany-Lee with some of the stunning original pieces available from her Cherry Street premises.
La Mystique in Ballina has moved to bigger and better premises on Cherry Street, allowing for an increased range of product lines as well as more space for customers to browse.
Proprietor Tiffany-Lee spent some years working in Sydney with Australian jewellery designer Lisa Carney (who produces the Mamo Jo range), before deciding to head north last August for a change of lifestyle.
She has been based in River Street since then, but recently decided to make the move into her own store and give herself a bit more room to move.
"When I moved here I couldn't find unique jewellery designs or specialised ranges, so I decided to create it for myself and open La Mystique," Tiffany-Lee said. "Not only are the pieces absolutely stunning, but we make it easy for customers and we'll happily wrap, tie and tag anything it's all part of the specialised service."
Tiffany-Lee sells unique designer jewellery and accessories, and she has a number of labels that are exclusive to her store, at much cheaper prices than in Brisbane or Sydney.
One of the most popular ranges is the all-new collection of Mamo Jo jewellery, which largely includes mother-of-pearl and New Zealand Paua shell pieces.
Tiffany-Lee has a selection of Palas pieces, such as solid silver neckwires and pendants with mother-of-pearl and Arizona turquoise and, some with black Onyx and delicate Czechoslovakian crystal.
"We cater for the whole spectrum of women's tastes," Tiffany-Lee said. "There are pieces you can wear with a bikini at the beach or with an evening dress at dinner, and the great thing is 80 per cent of all the stock is Australian designed."
Tiffany-Lee also stocks the new Catherine Manuell bags, shopping trolleys and luggage a favourite with ladies already.
La Mystique is at 2/5 Cherry Street and people are welcome to drop in for a browse and a chat with Tiffany-Lee seven days a week. For info phone her on 6686 4751.
