Cleaning Services proprietor, David Gaze.
Richmond Cleaning Services has been established in Lismore for nearly 20 years, and has been operated by David and Hazel Gaze for the last 12 years.
In the last decade David has spent many hundreds of hours redeveloping and remodelling his pressure cleaning equipment to save on water.
David’s tests and trials have proven very successful and he now uses his new water-saving system on all his jobs.
“With my equipment water use is at its absolute minimum – the equipment only uses one third of what would come out of a normal garden hose,”
David said. “The water consumption is very low, and it actually does a better job. I’ve placed a water fanning system on the pressure hose so
it cleans more effectively. The result is people get a very clean house without using hundreds of litres of water, which is precious all over NSW at the
moment.”
Another advantage of using Richmond Cleaning Services is that there is a minimal chemical content in the solutions used, and David pays particular attention
to detail.
“I’m always getting feedback from people who are really pleased with diligence with which I clean – I guess I’m a bit fussy and in
this business people appreciate that,” David said. “My motto has always been ‘a job worth doing is a job worth doing well’ and it’s
served me well all the years I’ve been in business.”
The Northern Rivers area is a sub-tropical climate, and houses and commercial premises are often prone to mould. On average homes need to be pressure
cleaned once every 18 months. David says people often have their homes cleaned in the lead up to Christmas or when the home is going on the market for sale.
