Keven does brick laying, block laying, paving and also professional brick washing/cleaning to have your bricks looking as good as new.
Business partner Karen Gava said that Keven does both small and large jobs.
“He’s done a lot of the houses around town and recently he’s been working on some of the really big developments like the Seventh Day
Adventist nursing home in Alstonville, Maranoa Nursing home in Alstonville and the Beachcomber resort in Byron Bay,” Karen said.
KE and K Gava are a locally owned and operated small business, who have been operating in the region’s building industry for 12 years.
Keven is extremely excited about his business at the moment because they have just purchased a new forklift.
“It’ll carry 3.7 tonne and loads up to 13m high. At this stage we have a fork and a bucket for it,” Keven said.
“It’s 4WD all terrain and we have a concrete kibble and a man cage coming for it.
“The man cage is going to help our pressure cleaning capabilities,” he said.
Keven said the new machine will make his work rate even quicker.
“Instead of manhandling bricks, blocks and mortar up a scaffold we’re now going to be able to lift them up – so we’ll save on labour
costs and it’ll be miles quicker,” he said.
“We can lift things without scaffolding, lean over balconies and shop fronts – do repair work and things like that over the top. We call it
the labourer of the 21st century!”
KE and K Gava can supply the bricks or blocks you need, or work with the materials you decide on.
Keven works throughout the Northern Rivers – from Kyogle and Casino to Tabulam, through Lismore and Alstonville to the coast.
