Modern cleaners - old fashioned service
 Dianne Smith of Eastland Sewing Service is now hosting the new outlet for Jeffrey's Dry Cleaning at the rear of the Eastland store at 63 Woodlark Street, Lismore.
Croydon and Janette Sloane, the operators of quality north coast dry cleaning service Jefferys Dry Cleaners, have relocated their Lismore shop to 63 Woodlark Street, Lismore.
After the end of their former lease they took the opportunity to relocate the service to an already existing business - Eastlands Sewing Service.
Croydon said that Jefferys were already operating successfully through a host business in Kyogle, and felt they could do the same in Lismore.
"We've known Dianne and Allen Smith at Eastland Sewing for many years and it seemed like a natural partnership for us," Croydon said. "The rear of the shop is dedicated to dry cleaning, allowing customers to drop off and pick up their garments. Our specialist team at Jefferys Casino plant then processes all garments."
And while the good old-fashioned service is reminiscent of standards established in the Victorian era, the technology employed is the very latest.
"We take the time to talk to the customers about all aspects of the dry cleaning required, either on the phone or in person," Croydon said. "We like to discuss the cleaning practice employed on each garment. We want our clients to be satisfied when they come to pick up their garment - not surprised."
The staff at Jefferys Dry Cleaners have a vast knowledge of textiles and understand what each garment requires in terms of care and the cleaning technique used.
As Croydon says "If customers come back with repeat business that's a good enough compliment for us."
