Proprietors of Doc Dorahy Tractors & Machinery, Doc and Christine Dorahy, will celebrate 10 years in business this year – making them Lismore’s
second oldest farm machinery dealers.
Christine Dorahy is a born and bred Lismore local and her husband, Doc, has lived in Lismore for 22 years. And they pride themselves on employing local
people.
“The staff in the workshop are all here for the long haul – they are stable, reliable staff and many of them have been here for eight or nine
years, pretty much since the business began,” Doc said. “We feel it’s important to employ local people on our staff and they are undoubtedly
our most valuable asset. Their expertise are of the highest standard and the service they provide is always efficient and friendly. They’re a really
trustworthy, hardworking bunch of lads.”
The business is operated with five fully-qualified mechanics, two trained fabricators and one machinist, and Doc assures all customers that there are
“no pushy sales people”. In fact the team in the workshop are all tractor repair specialists and can service most makes of tractors as well as
supply spare parts, do in-house machining and dyno testing.
Doc Dorahy also boasts a well-equipped field service unit, handy for farmers who experience machinery troubles on outlying properties.
The business also manufactures the sturdy MacMaster Nut Harvesters, and they have sold more than 100 of the popular machines, plus 335 other new and
used tractors.
Doc Dorahy is the dealer for two great tractor brands – the ever reliable Farmliner and the exciting Lamborghini range. They also have a range of
quality used tractors at very reasonable prices for most farm applications.
