If you’re battling against a leaky washing machine or a faulty dishwasher, Rick Bostock from Bostock’s Appliance Repairs is fully-qualified
to combat the problem.
Rick has been fixing whitegoods for people around the Northern Rivers for more than 17 years – 10 years as an appliance technician with a local
repair company and the last seven as proprietor of Bostock’s Appliance Repairs.
As you can imagine after nearly two decades in the industry, Rick has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fixing whitegoods and he still undertakes
ongoing industry training to ensure he is aware of any new electronic or computerised developments.
This extensive experience gives Rick the skills to fix everything from an old 1970s Westinghouse to the newest Fisher & Paykel on the market, making
his service an accessible option for just about everyone.
“In most cases it’s a lot cheaper to have the appliance repaired rather than to buy a new one,” Rick said. “Repairs can save people
hundreds of dollars, and often a problem can be quite simple to fix if you know how. If for any reason an appliance is too far gone and it’s not worth
fixing, then I let the customer know and they can decide where to go from there.”
Rick mainly fixes washing machines, dryers, dish washers and stoves, and all work is guaranteed with a three month warranty on labour and a 12 month
warranty on parts. Rick is also a warranty agent for most Australian companies, which means he is authorised to do repairs on any new appliances under warranty.
If you’re a bit of a DIY handyman, Rick sells spare parts for most brands over the counter at his workshop in East Lismore. Rick is currently the
sole operator of Bostock’s Appliance Repairs, however, in the next few months his son, Nathan, will join the business as an apprentice.
