 The team from AWE Engineering offer a precision service with a rapid turnaround at an economical price.
"What do we do? What don't we do!" said Danny Green from AWE Engineering with a sweep of his arm at the rows of shafts, gears, rollers and other equipment manufactured and repaired at AWE's South Lismore premises.
Over the years, AWE Engineering has developed a reputation for quality manufacturing and machinery repairs for a wide range of agricultural and automotive parts and equipment.
"We do a lot of work for the macadamia industry manufacturing and repairing rollers, shafts and other pieces," said Danny. "We've even custom made parts for racing cars.
"But we're also in demand for our precision, high volume or repetition manufacturing work," he said.
AWE Engineering is one of the few businesses in the area to operate a state-of-the-art computer numerical control (CNC) lathe.
"It's an amazing piece of machinery. We can produce parts of all shapes and sizes with incredible precision and accuracy and we can do it in volume with every piece identical," said Danny proudly.
As well as the wide range of work they can perform, what has helped make AWE Engineering so successful is the speed and price of the service they offer.
"We pride ourselves on our turnaround times. I don't think there's anyone else in the area who can do what we do, as fast as we can and for the price we can," Danny said. "And if customers can get their equipment back up and running again quickly that makes everyone happy."
