Three students from Lismore High have achieved the distinction of having their HSC art works selected for Artexpress, an annual exhibition of the previous year’s best works.

Matthew Brown, Rhiannon Lavis and Azara Regan were amongst 270 who made it out of more than 8,700 who submitted works for the exhibition.

Principal Keiron Klar was absolutely thrilled at their success.

“It is a testimony to their hard work and skill, and to the dedication and vision of their teacher, Roslyn Miles, that they have produced works of such outstanding quality. I hope as many people as possible will take the opportunity to visit when the regional tour comes to Grafton in June.”

Matthew Brown’s digital animation Still Life in Byron represents an exploration of he chaos theory through mathematics.

Rhiannon Lavis’ painting Subjective Perfection represents an indictment of those who judge on looks.

Azara Regan’s collection of works My Life as a Girl – 17 Shades of Pink uses a variety of media to represent the different stages of her life.
