Barbara Gosper from Immediate Reception established her professional telephone answering service in Lismore in 1997, and it didn't take long for her to be recognised for her innovative idea and excellent service.
In 1998 the business won a highly commended award at the Lismore Business Awards in the 'best new business' category, while at the 2000 Lismore Business Awards Immediate Reception won the 'best business service' category and was named Business of the Year.
In 2001 Immediate Reception entered the My Business magazine national awards, and was the runner up in the Best Micro Business Award category.
"It's great to be able to have a unique service and be recognised for that," Barbara said. "Our aim is to help small business to grow. Businesses who may not need a full time receptionist can utilise our service and still maintain customer service contact at a fraction of the price. I'm really proud of the team we've developed and pleased that this innovative idea has been so successful."
