Proprietors of Harvey World Travel in Lismore, Fay and Trevor Hopf, are well known in the local area as being active and committed members of their local community.
Among other things Fay and Trevor are both members of local Rotary clubs – Fay with the Rotary Club of Summerland Sunrise and Trevor with the Rotary Club of Lismore West.
Fay and Trevor are currently in Fiji, where they are working on a Rotary-based project, Rotahomes, to help people rendered homeless by a cyclone that hit the island earlier this year. With a team of about a dozen volunteers, Fay and Trevor are helping to rebuild houses for the villagers, who are in desperate need of shelter.
As well as being avid community supporters, both locally and abroad, Fay and Trevor also ensure the service they provide through Harvey World Travel is second to none.
Harvey World Travel was named the 2002 winner of the 'sensational customer service' award at the Lismore Business Awards, and the business has been named NSW Country Office of the Year twice.
The business has also received a number of Harvey World Travel Outstanding Achievement Awards in the last 12 months, while Insight Vacations named the business top agency for the Queensland/Northern NSW area earlier this week. However Harvey World Travel's most valuable asset is the friendly, experienced team of sales staff led by Fay and Trevor's daughter, Kaylene, who has personally won five Gold Sales Awards and an Insight Vacations top consultant award for her impeccable service.
"We really concentrate on ensuring the team here are trained both in the office and in the field, so they can provide a comprehensive service to customers," Kaylene said. "The staff have travelled extensively and that makes such a difference – it means they can provide first-hand, accurate advice on the best travel options available. We are very focussed on customer service."
