The Best wedding option

Local civil celebrant, Brian Best.Local civil celebrant, Brian Best.

It is a common misconception that a civil celebrant is concerned wholly with the business of bringing people together in matrimony.

But, as local civil celebrant Brian Best can confirm, there is more to a marriage than just the ceremony.

Brian believes that couples should be encouraged to discuss the form of wedding they would prefer as this establishes the basis upon which the couple makes their commitment to each other.

One of Brian's main concerns when performing a marriage celebration is that the occasion is worry free and that the ceremony is conducted in such a manner that all involved, newlyweds and guests alike, will all come away with beautiful memories of this most important day.

After a brief initial discussion on the phone Brian arranges to meet with the couple at their home, or at a mutually convenient location to arrange the outlines and details of the desired ceremony.

Then about 10 days before the wedding a further meeting and rehearsal with the wedding party is conducted to ensure that everything goes smoothly on that all-important day.

"The wonderful thing about being a celebrant is that quite often you are asked sometime later to perform further ceremonies, such as the re-affirmation of a couple's wedding vows and the Christening of their children," he said.

Brian holds a certificate in theology from Moore College, Sydney, and is a licensed lay minister.

Ring him for a preliminary discussion on 6624 8499 or 0412 911 191.
