The exhibition highlights the many unique art styles practised in Nimbin, and walking into the gallery one is instantly drawn to the kaleidoscope of beautiful and interesting pieces. These include paintings, drawings, pottery, sculptures, mosaics, wall hangings, wood carvings, glass works and leather pieces, felt art, jewellery and much more.
"The show is a chance to show off Nimbin's many artists to the influx of visitors who come to Nimbin each summer," gallery director, Margaret McLaren, said.
"People who come here on holidays often want to take art from here home with them, both because it's beautiful and because it's a perfect memento of their holiday. Visitors often want something to remember Nimbin by, and what better than local art created by the very people who live here? It's the best of Nimbin on show." The Nimbin Summer Show continues until January 27.
