Tomorrow's Picassos

After three years of painting, sculpting, drawing, photographing, moulding, firing, and even working on computers, the Visual Arts students of Southern Cross University are ready to take on the art world.

But before they do, the 45 graduating Arts students will celebrate with their graduation exhibition in the SCU Visual Arts building.

Senior art lecturer John Smith said the standard of this year's show was extremely high.

'Many past graduates have gone on to become collectable artists and this is an excellent opportunity for local people to acquire works at very affordable prices,' he said.

The exhibition runs until Friday 16 (excluding Sunday) and is open from 10am to 4pm.

The show is sponsored by Southern Cross University Union Shop, Northern Rivers Echo, North Coast Radiology, The New Camera Store, Caddies and Café Millennium Japanese restaurant.
