The 'Code Red' worm has been around for a while, but it hasn't been taken seriously by the web community. It's not an E-mail virus it preys on website and programming flaws (which can be fixed) in the Microsoft web server, IIS (Internet Information Server). The FBI, Government and Microsoft have united in asking the community to beware of the worm, which is stoppable if you take the right precautions. Code Red only attacks servers with English as the server language and changes the default website to say you have been hacked by the Chinese.
SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) has concentrated on finding ET by listening to the microwave and radio signals that hit the earth. Now, a new listening telescope, called Allen, will look to see if aliens are bouncing lasers off us.
