Witness Assistance Officer
Prosecution Officer (Admin), Level 4, Lismore Regional Office Pos No: 2001/47. Total remuneration package valued at up to $56,053 including salary ($46,456 to $51,260 pa) employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Provide professional support and assistance to victims of crime and witnesses in matters prosecuted by the Office.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills. Capacity to liaise with and refer to community services. Experience as a helping professional in a health or welfare service environment. Counselling experience in adult and child sexual assault, domestic violence, grief and loss. Understanding the needs of victims of crime.
Knowledge of the NSW Criminal Justice System. Ability to work independently within a team environment. Current Drivers License. Willingness to travel to regional centres as required. Tertiary centres as required. Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology related discipline.
