A number of CDs and a portable car fridge were stolen from a green Mitsubishi
panel van parked in a driveway in Kareela Avenue, Goonellabah, after thieves broke
into it some time between 4pm on Sunday and 9am Monday.
Thieves stole a number of items after breaking into a property in Exton Street,
North Lismore, between 8.45pm Sunday and 7.45am Monday. A portable TV, battery
pack, an Eagle brand fish finder and a car stereo system were taken and they inflicted
a considerable amount of internal damage on the premises. Any information to Lismore

Police at Ballina are continuing enquiries into a motor vehicle accident that
occurred around 9.10pm on Monday night on the Pacific Highway near North Creek
Road. Two full semi-trailers took evasive action to avoid colliding into a vehicle
that stopped in the middle of the road. Whilst attempting to avoid it, one truck
collided with the centre median and was hit from behind by the other truck.
The vehicle, described as a champagne-coloured Nissan, left the scene without
exchanging particulars. Witnesses gave Police a good description and the vehicle's
registration.
Ballina Police are appealing for information following an attack at Southern
Cross High on the weekend. Some time between 4pm Friday and 6am Monday, vandals
smashed windows, damaged fibro sheeting and threw paint around a classroom. Any

A leather jacket, car stereo equipment and a socket set were stolen on Monday
after thieves broke into a garage in Union Street South Lismore. Any information
