A 21-year-old woman died and two people were injured in a two-car crash near Lismore last Wednesday. The crash happened about 4.30pm when a Ford Laser hatchback and a Mitsubishi Magna sedan collided on the Dunoon Road at Tullera. A Tuntable Falls woman travelling in the front seat of the Laser died at the scene. The two drivers, a 26-year-old man, also from Tuntable Falls, and a 60-year-old woman, from Modanville, were taken by ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital. The woman suffered a suspected broken left ankle.

Police are warning beachgoers around North Lennox Head to be on their guard following reports of a man indecently exposing himself in the sand hills.

The incident occurred adjacent to the beach marker 1A around 11am on Friday. The man is described as aged about 40, of medium complexion with dark hair with grey and a fit build and was seen in the adjacent sand hills. Any information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.

A 26-year-old Lismore male has been charged with two counts of break and enter and eight counts of fraud. He was arrested in his vehicle travelling to Goonellabah around 2pm on Sunday afternoon following reports that he allegedly used a stolen credit card in the Lismore CBD. During his shopping spree, he allegedly purchased car accessories, clothing and a car seat to the value of $1800.

Police were forced to issue an eight-hour noise abatement order on the 18-year-old occupant of a premises in Ballina Road, Goonellabah, around 11.50pm on Saturday night. The order was issued due to the extremely loud music. Police remind residents that the Noise Pollution Act is enforceable 24 hours a day.

Police are warning businesses to secure their safe following the theft of a safe containing cash and business records in Casino. Thieves forced entry to a premises in Walker Street, Casino, some time between 6pm Friday and 8.15am Monday. It's believed a wheelie bin was used to remove the safe from the area. A 34-year-old Lennox Head man has been charged with a series of offences following the alleged assault of a teenage girl after he broke into a house in Lennox Head early on Sunday morning. He faces charges of break and enter to commit a serious offence, assault and committing an act of aggravated indecency.

A 28-year-old Lismore woman has been charged with cultivation, possession and supply of a prohibited drug following the search of a property in Casino Street on Monday afternoon. Police allegedly found hydroponic cannabis set up containing 20 cannabis plants up to 500mm high. The plants have a street value of $40,000.

Police seeking information about the malicious damage of premises in Dalziell Street, Lismore. An estimated $2000 worth of damage was caused some time between 9am Friday and 12-noon on Monday. Any information to Lismore Police on 6623 1599.

Police are appealing for help after a man was assault and robbed at Oakes Oval around 9.10am on Tuesday. The 23-year-old man was walking through the oval when he was approached by a group of five or six aboriginal men, who allegedly demanded his property, then punched him in the face. The attackers stole cash and other items before running from the park towards Uralba Street. Anyone with information should contact Lismore Detectives on 6621 3599.

A 32-year-old Kyogle man has been charged with drug-related and firearm offences after Police conducted a search warrant on a property on Green Pigeon Road, Kyogle, on Tuesday afternoon. Police allegedly found four unregistered and unsecured firearms as well as 2.336kg of cannabis leaf with a street value of $15,000. Investigations are continuing into the ownership of the firearms.

Police send out a warning to businesses to not accept cheques from unknown customers after a South Lismore business was defrauded when paid $3600 by cheque for work performed on the fraudster's vehicle last Thursday. When the cheque was presented on Tuesday, the bank advised the account was closed.
