Police are seeking information regarding the theft of an $850 table tennis table from the Green Pigeon Community Hall outside Kyogle last Wednesday evening. Any information to Kyogle Police on 6632 1444.

Police are seeking information following a spate of break-ins and thefts between 6pm last Thursday and 8am Saturday morning. Offenders broke into homes in Lismore and Goonellabah, including Carlton Ave, High Street, Sunset Drive, Barnes Avenue, Toongarah Court, Kruseana Avenue, Magellan Street, Erica Court and Brooker Drive. Anyone who saw unusual or suspicious activity in these areas should phone Lismore Police on 6623 1599.

A .303 rifle with bayonet and a Japanese samurai sword and sheath, stolen from the former Lismore RSL Club, were both found abandoned near the Lismore Lake Caravan Park on Tuesday evening. The weapons were stolen between 10am Sunday and 9.30am Monday, when thieves ransacked the premises and broke two locked glass cabinets.

Lismore Police are seeking information after numerous incidents in the last 48 hours where cars have been damaged and/or goods have been stolen. These include:

  • The passenger window of a 1999 Mitsubishi sedan parked in Rous Road, Goonellabah, was smashed around 10pm Wednesday.
  • Two backpacks and boots were stolen from a 1991 Nissan parked in Fiford Place, Goonellabah, between 5 and 8.55pm Wednesday.
  • Three vehicles were broken into in Cassia Crescent, Goonellabah, around 8pm Wednesday. A 1991 Toyota, 1995 Hyundai sedan and 1982 Toyota all had windows smashed.
  • A wallet, mobile phone, handbag containing cash and other valuables were stolen from a 1990 Holden parked in Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah, between 2pm and 3.50pm Wednesday.
  • A 1992 Mazda sedan was ransacked and had a window smashed in Rous Road, Goonellabah, around 7pm Wednesday. The offender is described as a male Aboriginal, 180cm tall, of thin build and wearing a white shirt and shorts.
