While this weeks antsy Sagittarian energy wants to take off like a racehorse, Capricorn Sun still holds the reins, controls the whip, makes the decisions and calls the shots - sending the New Year into gear at a reasonably steady and thankfully not too rabid pace.

Aries

ARIES: You're in major sort-it-out mode - but not all this week's puzzles and conundrums can be solved rationally.  Emotions aren't necessarily accessible by logic, or feelings figured out by common sense.  If you can't find answers, ask someone you trust.

  Taurus

TAURUS: If things don't go your way this week, don't keep meeting them head-on - withdraw and regroup.  The opposition will think you've given up - something you never do when you're serious. And if you weren't serious, would you even be bothering...?

Gemini

GEMINI: Appropriately, this week flings down a pair of New Year dares for you Twins. Which are: 1) Don't look back.  Right now the past can't help you. And  2)  Keep moving beyond what you already know - the answers you want are in unfamiliar territory.

Cancer

CANCER: It's easy to override your frazzled physical system's messages of neglect or overuse - but don't keep telling yourself you don't have time and letting health problems go unchecked. This week's for attending to whatever needs replacing, readjusting or realigning.

Leo

LEO: A bit of a serious, back to business week, but with enough court intrigue and palace politics to keep you on your toes.  God help your rivals, opponents or competition because you're in no-prisoners mode: power flirting, wickedly witty and taking the mickey...

Virgo

VIRGO: If others aren't as committed and hardworking as you, is that really a crime? How can they be - they're not you.  Trying to understand and respect peoples' differences will sidestep a whole quagmire of grizzles and glitches this week.

Libra

LIBRA: Librans at their finest know how to bring out the best in others, and this week any group you're involved with will benefit from your positive input and resilient influence.  Not to mention that leavening effect you have on energetic heaviness...

Scorpio

SCORPIO: A week to loosen up - to take life's little surprises less personally and more objectively.  To be open to new ways of doing things. To be spontaneous. To improvise. To follow your instincts and impulses. You can't plan everything ahead.

Sagittarius

SAGITTARIUS: You racy raconteurs won't be able to win audiences simply with amusing speculation this week.  Successful communications will need to be succinct, meaningful and convey clear information - as well as having definite practical applications.

Capricorn

CAPRICORN: Capricorns (with certain notable exceptions) are generally orderly and highly organized.  So if the ungovernable, chaotic side of life has you ragged round the edges this week, understand that some mysteries take time and willingness to unravel.

Aquarius

AQUARIUS: You're in the mood for change - out with the old, in with the new. But as you jettison what's passe, give some serious thought to what you want to take its place and fill that space.  Because this week's energy's concerned with actually manifesting those dreams.

Pisces

PISCES: Venus in playful, entertaining Sagittarius (wacko!) provides this week's no nonsense, let's get back on track vibes with a bit of very welcome light relief. You'll be your naughty, saucy self - yet still magically manage to get heaps achieved and dealt with.
