Growing Up Litlle by Little
Students from Kyogle's small, outlying schools have a new collaborative exhibition, From Little Things Big Things Grow, currently on show at the Roxy Gallery in Kyogle.
Students from Afterlee, Collins Creek, Barkers Vale, Grevillia, The Risk, Rukenvale and Wiangaree public schools have been busy working to create a collection of unique artworks, as diverse as the culture of each small school.

The exhibition is designed to foster self-esteem and a sense of belonging in the community, with each student submitting a painting of their school along with artistic interpretations of the exhibition title. The students have experimented using a variety of media, with processes like printmaking, collage, painting and drawing.
As well as being a way for students to express themselves, a collaborative exhibition like this also has the benefit of bringing together students and their school communities.
