True Colours

A new exhibition of works by Certificate II art students and their teachers from Lismore TAFE, The Ochre Palette, is now on show at Armistead's Gallery in Lismore.

The series of landscapes included in the exhibition were created as part of a TAFE exercise with 'the ochre palette' - the predominant colours of Australia. The works themselves are as diverse as the landscapes of this country, with each of the 21 artists involved exhibiting one painting.

People may have recently noticed the same students painting poles in Keen Street as part of a project by Lismore City Council designed to reduce pollution in the Wilson's River.
