Ballina Police are seeking information after a male exposed himself to a young girl at Lennox Head on Sunday. The male was seen approaching the Lennox Head main beach from the roadway and proceeded to follow an 11-year-old girl who was walking her dog.

The victim was followed to the rock pools where witnesses saw the male person expose himself, before the girl ran away. The man, described as about 40 years old, was wearing a beanie, brown knee length board shorts with white stripes on the sides and a grey t-shirt with a large yellow 'scribble' like design on the front. He is 173cm tall and of Aboriginal appearance. Any information to 6681 8699.

A 27-year-old Lennox Head man has been charged with trespass and malicious damage after being discovered in a house in Rutherford Street, Lennox Head, last Thursday. Police were alerted by neighbours at around 2am and found the rear door open and damaged several walls and a mirror. The man will appear in Ballina Court on August 12.

Approximately 11.15pm on Wednesday night, a 24 year old Richmond Hill man was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Richmond Hill Road, after he lost control of his 1998 Mitsubishi Magna, then overcorrected. After colliding with a street sign, the male attempted to move the vehicle from the roadway; the vehicle has rolled from the road and collided with a tree. Police believe the vehicle was travelling in excess of the sign posted speed limit at the time of the accident.

Two chooks and a billy cart were stolen from a premises on Caniaba Road, Caniaba last Wednesday. Information to Lismore Police on 6623 1599.

A 59-year-old Wardell man has been charged with possessing firearms whilst unlicensed following a search of a Pimlico Road property. Police seized four firearms and a considerable amount of ammunition. The man will appear in Ballina court on August 12.

A Toshiba Satellite laptop computer valued at $4500 was stolen from a business premises in Tamar Street, Ballina, around 8.30pm on Sunday night. The offenders entered a through a locked side door. Information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.

A laptop computer, jewellery and a digital camera valued at more than $4500 was stolen from a residence in Invercauld Road, Goonellabah, between 9.45am and 6pm on Sunday. Information to Lismore Police on 6623 1599.

A female police officer sustained minor injuries after a 27 year-old Ballina man became aggressive whilst at the Lismore Base Hospital on Sunday. The man was arrested around 9am on a warrant at Ballina and taken to the hospital for assessment. The male became aggressive with hospital staff and police, assaulting the female officer before being subdued. He will appear in Lismore Court on Monday.

A 17-year-old Casino man was arrested on Tuesday in relation to three break and enters that took place in Casino between Monday afternoon and early Tuesday morning. The male, who was found with prohibited drugs and a large amount of cash, was charged with various offences. He will appear in Casino Court on September 8.

Police are seeking information in relation to a break and enter at a Rous Road business premises late Tuesday night where a quantity of jewellery was stolen. The male is described as 18-35 years old, 180cm tall, thin build, Caucasian, light coloured hair, wearing a black t-shirt and black track pants with two vertical stripes down the legs. Following the robbery the male jumped in a 1984-85 model Mazda 323 four-door hatchback, which driven off by an accomplice. Information to Lismore Police on 6623 1599.

A quantity of electrical equipment was stolen from a business premises in West Ballina around 2am on Wednesday morning. The offender smashed a plate glass window to enter the premises. Information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.
