The Lismore Art Club's 44th annual Art Exhibition will be opened by members tonight, August 5, at the Lismore Workers Club from 6pm.
The free exhibition features a huge array of works created by members of the Lismore Art Club, who attend monthly tutorials with special guest artists to learn new techniques and brush up on their skills.

The exhibition also features a special section of paintings by students at Wilson Park Public School, which has become something of a tradition in recent years.
"A delightful feature of the Lismore Art Club is that members comprise some of the region's most well-know artists as well as new talent, so you get a real patchwork of artwork that reflects the whole spectrum of ages, tastes and experience," said Lismore Art Club member Terry Wells. "The standard certainly keeps on improving year after year, and this exhibition is no exception - it's just a fantastic showcase of local art. Many of the works are for sale too and there's nothing quite like taking home an original artwork."
