The exhibition features a beautiful collection of floral works, with the ladies exploring different styles and techniques to create their individual masterpieces.
Elizabeth Fletcher has used porcelain art and embossing, gouache and Indian ink wash to create black and white sepia, while Lesley Burgoyne has demonstrated the magnificent detail that can be achieved with pencils.
Ruth Savins, Mabs Spooner, Leah Jackson and Gaye Laverty have all been experimenting with porcelain art, creating intricate designs on a number of fine china and bisque pieces.
Louise Hopping has used bold acrylics for her works, with Val Frearson exploring the richness of oils in her vibrant collection.
The delicate translucence of watercolours, which lends itself so beautifully to florals, is seen in the works of Anne Slade, Joan Cusack, Lois Kyle and Pam Prince. A Mixed Bunch is on show until next Wednesday, July 21. Armistead's Gallery is at 43b Wyrallah Road, in the Wotherspoons building. |
