An Easter Treat

The Kolinda Gallery in Alstonville will open its annual Easter Exhibition this Friday, April 2, with a special celebration and viewing from 7.30pm,

The exhibition features works by interstate artists including Leonard Long from Melbourne and Colley Whisson from Queensland as well as art by locals Pat Jenkins, Barb Suttie, Katherine Castle and many others.

Seascapes, landscapes and figurative studies feature predominantly throughout the exhibition and the quality is outstanding. Created using watercolours, oils, pastels, acrylics and mixed media the collection is an outstanding showcase of modern Australian art.

"Exhibiting works by bigger name artists such as Joseph Zbukvic and John Lovett gives local people the chance to see artworks they'd normally have to travel to the city to see," gallery manager, Andrew Chung, said. "At the same time we have included works by local artists so people visiting the Northern Rivers have the opportunity to see what the artists in this region have to offer."

Anyone is welcome to attend tomorrow night's opening and enjoy the hospitality of Andrew and the Kolinda team. The Easter Exhibition is on show until May 2.

Kolinda Gallery is at 5 Bugden Avenue (on the highway in Alstonville). The gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am-5pm. For info phone 6628 0297 or visit www.kolinda.com.au.
