Meet Your Ancestors
Ever wanted to get into family history but didn't know where to start? The Casino Family History group is holding a "Meet Your Ancestors" open weekend this Saturday and Sunday March 27-28 in their rooms, upstairs in the School of Arts building, Walker Street.
Members of the group will be available to show you how it's done and get you started on your family tree.
Publicity officer Myree Perry said people have lots of reasons for wanting to research their family history. "I developed diabetes and I found medical information about other relatives who had diabetes," she said.
The family history group's rooms are open Tuesday to Friday, 10am - 2pm, Wednesday noon-4pm and Saturday, 9-11.30am.
For more information call Myree Perry on 6662 4142.
