The exhibition features a variety of media ranging from photographs and poetry to some of the handmade props featured in the visual images. A professional artist for the last 25 years, R J Poole's work is both unique and challenging.
"Many people admire my work, but don't necessarily understand it," said Rod, who's currently based in Lismore. "But hopefully as time goes by more and more people will come to appreciate my message."
Anyone familiar with Poole's words and images will know they are loaded with spiritual symbols.
"I'm very interested in the esoteric tradition and the writings of Carl Jung," says Poole. "This is my attempt at expressing some of the symbols and wisdom of the ancient world."
Most of the images featured in the exhibition will be limited edition photographic prints. The opening night is at the gallery this Friday, March 12, from 6pm and anyone is welcome. The show will run until April 7. For more information on the above works go to www.rjpoole.com. |
