Networking - How to make Great Business Contacts
Australian Business Limited (ABL) has identified Networking as a major part of doing business. "You would prefer to do business with a person or business that you know". The relationships you form and knowledge of how they do business will help you decide whom to do business with and visa versa. Business people would prefer to do the same when dealing with your business, so it's a 'WIN WIN'.
Networking helps your business prosper without a lot of expense; you only need to put your time and effort into sponsoring an event, this could be a breakfast, a lunch or a function at night.
Whichever the occasion or function you will need to do the followings:-
-
Plan a 10 minute impacting presentation about your business or service.
-
Spend time talking with the business people you have not met.
-
Have handout for people to take as they leave.
-
Swap business cards with people you meet.
-
Start conversations by asking what they do or what there business does.
-
Promote a recent win you have had within your business.
-
Talk about a training event or seminar that you attended recently.
-
Discuss business news that you have read about in your local newspaper.
-
Mention about your involvement with a Charity or Chamber of Commerce.
Networking in 2003 was such a great success with all the functions being sponsored, averaging 55 people at each event and we are now looking toward functions for 2004.
These are the months that we will hold our functions in 2004: -
February, March, April, May, July, August, September, October, November and December 2004
Now is the time to look at the way you do business and how by Sponsoring an ABL Networking function you will give your business an edge over the competition and meet 'new business contacts'.
So, join Australian Business Limited now starting from $25 a month, you too can have a 'win-win'
